A’s on Angie’s List for Garage Door Spring Repair
Read our latest review on Angie’s List. It’s very detailed!
We were told upon scheduling that we would receive a call when the technician was able to arrive (between 4:00 and 5:00). The day of the repair, the technician called at 2:45 and indicated that we were the last on his list and he was ready to head over. I was still at work and could not get off until 4:00 as planned. He indicated he would call the office for further instructions. He contacted back and indicated that another technician had been assigned and would arrive as scheduled. We received a call from the second technician around 4:15 indicating he was about 30 minutes out. Promptly at 4:45 he arrived.
The technician inspected both broken springs on the garage door. He then indicated he would check the cable wheel bearings and cables and let me know how they looked and if they needed servicing. He gave me the estimate up front for the repair of the springs, which was as we expected. He began work and indicated before finishing that only the springs needed to be replaced. He completed his work right at 5:45 and explained that we would need to keep an eye on the door rollers as they were starting to squeak a little. He said he lubricated them and told us what to listen and look for.
We had a brief discussion about garage door openers and keypads, for which he provided enough information for us to use in purchasing these at a later time. I then showed him the Angie’s List coupon for 5% off on my phone. He called to verify with his office for accuracy (which I commend him for) and then applied the discount. We saved almost $15.00! I handed over the check and he was on his way, leaving a fully functional garage door behind. We couldn’t have been more pleased with this service and would recommend to anyone!
