I think Overhead Door did a great job. My wife opened the garage door to leave for work this morning, and it opened fine, but when it came back down, snap went the spring. I was dead to the world, but the kids said they heard a loud noise in the garage. After using our front door to exit the house (who does that) and taking the kids to school, I came back and tested my awesome troubleshooting powers against my issue. “Troubleshooting Powers”, consisting of: hitting the button to make the door move up and down a few inches a couple of times, unlatching the emergency coupler to make sure the motor wasn’t bad, and then poking at what I thought was the broken part with a broom handle. I called Overhead Door shortly after.Between when I called around Noonish and when Keith left after fixing it earlier this evening, less than 5 hours had passed. That is awesome response time, and awesome service. Keith had both springs and shaft bearings replaced and everything was hooked back up and working good as new in what felt like an hour and a half, super fast! Thanks for helping me out, I couldn’t be happier.
Thank you for the opportunity to share my experience with Overhead Door for the purpose public to read when making a decision on doing business with your company. My experience has been going on for more than 3 months now. The first company rep I met with was Jason, the salesman. He did a great job. He was right on time to discuss my specific needs. We visited about my 2 garage doors for my new 26×28 building. He showed me samples, gave me advice and measured everything and we were able to get a proposal written up. That evening my wife and I discussed the project and agreed on having Overhead Door do the install. I called Jason the next evening, on his cell, and we got the doors ordered and I paid 1/2 of the cost. 3 weeks later the doors arrived as promised and I got a call from your office to set an install date. One of the doors was damaged in transit so it had to be re-ordered and we would have to wait another 3 weeks for it to arrive. I understood that, that this was not your fault so everything was fine. We set the install date for complete install of one door and the panels of the damaged door would be set in place to keep the weather out until our other door arrived. The time was set for noon for the install to start and everything would be completed by 4:30. I was to arrive home from work at that time to inspect the work and pay my balance. I arrived home at 4:30 and no rep was here but had been here because some supplies had been unloaded. 20 minutes later the rep pulled in. Now it is 4:50 and the install hasn’t even started yet so I immediately cancel the plans my wife and I had made over a month prior. The rep asked me if I was paying the balance by card or check. I informed him that our agreement stated balance to be paid when install was complete and I would be paying nothing until my undamaged door came in and the job was completed. (Good thing I refused to pay until Overhead Door met your obligation)The rep began the install. An hour later I came to the shop to check on things. I walked in and immediately saw the tracks were higher than my light fixtures. He disagreed and started measuring. I told him just open the door and it will show you that the door won’t clear my lights. He did open the door and the door hit the fixture. He then asked if he could come back at a later date to finish. I said no because I can’t open the door to access my garage. He took the complete door and tracks down and cut several inches off the track and reinstalled. Of course putting holes in my finished and painted wall where the brackets used to be. About 8:30 that night he left. The next day I came to closer inspect his work. Seal on bottom of door shows huge gap on left side. Door is off centered 2 inches to one side (again not Jason’s fault, he specifically encouraged me to order this style of door so the door would be centered) 10 holes in my finished wall where he made the mistake of not cutting tracks before he installed.I waited a few days to take the best path to inform you of my complaints/concerns. I went to your website and sent an email voicing everything listed above. Email was the best path for 2 reasons. 1. I had my doubts about your quality of work and wanted all correspondence in writing from this point on. 2. I am a trainer/instructor and have very limited access to phone calls during work hours. It wasn’t long before I noticed missed calls from your place of business. I sent a 2nd email a few days later (having to enter my email address each time before I sent them so I knew you had my email address and was choosing not to reply)A few weeks later I emailed Jason who immediately emailed back to me, apologized, told me he forwarded the email to the GM of overhead door and that he would do everything he could to get this fixed. He also sent me a call log from Overhead Door to me. I replied to him and explained everything listed above about email/phone calls. Several days went by and my frustration built because of another family event that had to be canceled because you wouldn’t complete the job as stated in our agreement. I sent Jason another email while I was out of state working and told him of my frustration and informed him that no employee or rep from Overhead Door is allowed on my property. I certainly did not want you there while I was out of state. I told him I would seek legal help to recover damages and deal with you not fulfilling your obligation per the contract and that I would find a company to complete the job you started, botched up and now refused to complete. He emailed me back a few days later. Told me that an email had been sent from Overhead Door and to check my email to see if it went to junk. There was an email there. Asking when we could make an appointment to finish the install. No mention of my concerns, complaints or the problem. Jason informed me that the reason you didn’t email sooner is because you didn’t have my email address (which I believe is a false statement because I had to enter it to send you my original emails months ago)Jason sends me another email stating my undamaged door is at the warehouse and asked me to reconsider letting you finish the install. He stated he feels it would be best and easier on all of us. I am a fair man and have the utmost respect for Jason so although this agreement started August 23rd I was willing, on certain terms, to work with you. I emailed back over a week ago and requested an email stating exactly how much you planned to charge me and the details of the “job being completed”. There has been no reply.Pictures show what you left me with. First picture shows your finished work on undamaged door.1. Off center 2 inches2. Gap on bottom left (zoom to see level on door, the new concrete isn’t unlevel, the door is)3. Zoom to see 10 holes in finished wall because of misplacing brackets.Second picture shows damaged door. Zoom to see these tracks were not shortened either so they will have to be removed, cut and reinstalled making 10 extra holes in this wall as well. This is an accurate review of my experience as a customer of Overhead Door.I hope it helps all who are considering who they will choose for their garage door needs.I welcome a reply to this review. I challenge any statements questioning the accuracy of every fact stated in my review and will back with dated written documentation.I AM UNABLE TO POST THE PICTURES IN THIS REVIEW BUT WILL ATTEMPT TO POST IN A SECOND REVIEW OR TO THE OVERHEAD DOOR FACEBOOK PAGE FOR CONSUMER VIEWING.
Keith was fantastic….excellent response time….efficient….highly recommend !!
The service has always been excellent. The service people have always arrived when they said they would and explained what they were doing.
Max called at 11:40 a.m. and said he would be at my house in 20 minutes. The ticket shows his arrival time was 11:58 a.m. We discussed what was wrong and he went to work. He said it might be 30 minutes. He changed a broken spring, put up the new cables that I had already purchased and assured everything about the door was in proper working order. All of this for $169:00 and my receipt shows that he was done and leaving at 12:30. Excellent. Will definitely recommend to others.
Fixed my door promptly and for way less than the other estimates I had.

I had a main board go out on my 2006 era Legacy OHD lift. I called and verified that had the part in stock and promptly picked it up. They walked me through installation and troubleshooting. The board I bought was defective, but without hesitation they swapped it out for another and had me on my way. I reinstalled the new main board in 15 minutes and everything is working great. In fact all of my remotes seem to have better signal and connectivity since replacement of the main board. I highly recommend OHD of Springfield.read more

I’d highly recommend the services of this company! I called at 9pm and the phone was answered quickly by I believe Janet. Answered questions and concerns appropriately. Had a service tech out to us by 9:30pm by the name of Chris M. Chris was genuine and assessed the situation adequately. Made the repair look easy and provided preventative maintenance as well. The job was finished with an hour. Also advised us on how we can prevent this from reoccurring. Once again I highly recommend and thank you!read more

This is exactly how a business should run. Went to showroom, picked out doors, got a price immediately without the “Who are you?” “Do you know how much doors cost?” lines, or “We’ll get back to you later.” As a professional business it is expected that pricing for the products they sell should be readily available, and this was the case. Jason came out and handled measuring, very professional and highly recommended.read more

The spring and cables broke on my garage door. The first tech person finished 95% of the job, but since my door was very old, it was more complicated. A second, more experienced tech guy came out the next day and fixed it without any extra charge. Since I live 25 miles from Springfield, that was an extra blessing of not having to pay for a service call. Both men were friendly and explained how everything worked on the door. They arrived on time and were very professional in their demeanor. I would rate this company very highly as my door was fixed quickly and correctly by two well-trained and friendly technicians.read more

I work for Ryan Lawn & Tree and we’ve used this company for some time now and we’ve always had good experiences. This last experience was by far the best! The gentlemen that showed up (Michael & Austin) were here within an hour or less. The response time was unbelievable! When I called into the office, the CSR was very friendly and helpful (I believe her name was Rachel). The 2 gentlemen were very respectful and solved our problem in like 30-45 minutes. We are very satisfied with this company!read more
